Hell’s Reading Challenge Pizza Party

On Friday of Week 1 (18th of October) Room 15 had a Hells Pizza Party. We cashed in all of our Reading Challenge pizza wheels and Mr Malcolm arranged for them to be swapped for 333 pizzas from our local Hells Pizza. They tasted so good, and it was great fun enjoying free pizzas for only reading 7 books (which we enjoyed at the time as well) BONUS!!!

What are your favourite flavours of pizza?

What are your top 7 books, that you would love to read in a week (if you could) to fill up a Reading Challenge Pizza wheel?

Book Chain

Room 15 has been reading lots of different kinds of books in Term 1. We have taken books out of the school library, own class collection which we share with Room 14, and explored many online libraries like Epic Books RNZ Storytime and Storyline Online.

We have created a Book Chain to share some of our favourites with our friends.

Room 15 Book Chain 2024

The Rules of the Book Chain are:

1: You must have read the book yourself.

2: Be open to recommendations from others.

3: Choose a book that won’t take too long for others to read.

4: Write a short summary of the book, why would someone want to read it. Include a cover image so people know what to look for.

5: Keep it age (school) appropriate.

6: Add a comment and ‘@’ a friend’s email so they get the link to the book you want to share with them.

What was your favourite book when you were at school?

Do you prefer paper books or digital/e-books?
